Ok, maybe that’s a fair price; if you can’t do it yourself you have to hire someone. But now the web designer wants $50 an hour to make small changes, like the dates of classes on the website. Stop, I say, I know just barely enough FrontPage to be dangerous, and we can edit this ourselves. We made lots of backups, and laughed our way through 4 hours of editing this thing. It’s fun to teach someone who is basically new to computers how the whole internet thing works, I even showed her some of my searching techniques, helping her search on 301, her next project.

January 31, 2008 on 7:33 am | In Uncategorized | Comments OffI have never really been one to follow the buzz, or stay up with the trendy thing today, or follow this group or that group, but rather, pave my own way. For one, to follow a certain crowd, their tastes, their demands, their downright trends, it can be quite costly and frustrating. Even if I had the money, why follow other people that are probably following other people. I wanna talk to this guy at the top who is sending this chain signal down the hierarchy of people that is making these trends or shifts in the wind happen. Now, I like the internet mainly because I can forge any territory I want, never have to follow anyone and can easily search for most anything (301) and other than a paid internet connection, it costs me nothing, zero, nada, a single dime. Plus, I can be just about as independent as I wish. Hehe. Now that is me.
